The fabric backing on this pad really does keep moisture away from the grass, which was my main worry for a picnic. It's also plenty thick enough to make sitting on a cold rock comfortable for a full break.

Finally, no more damp jeans after a long rest on the dewy grass – this pad is a lifesaver for spontaneous picnic stops. The material really does keep the cold from seeping through, and it folds up small enough to clip onto my backpack.

Took this to a summit picnic and it saved my legs from the cold stone. The padding is thicker than I expected, so even an hour on rocky ground felt fine. Folds up small enough to actually fit in my daypack too.
